Eye Protection for Sedated, Coma or Surgery Patients

 

Opti-Gard™ Patient Eye Protection provides non-allergenic, self-adhesive sponge cushions that are available in Adult and Child sizes.

Reduces the evaporation of liquid from the surface of the eye , which can happen in absence of spontaneous blinking, causing the cornea to dry out

Prevents the cornea from drying out, particularly when the patient is treated with drugs such as atropine, phenothiazine, antihistamines

Protects the eyes of the patients undergoing surgery from accidental contact with blood, liquids and foreign bodies

Reduces the incidence of corneal abrasions, splits or haemorrhages
of the eyeball

The transparent lenses allow easy and convenient monitoring
of the patient’s pupils

The supportive foam allows the device to be custom shaped and to be fitted to each patient’s face to maximise comfort and protection
